Introduction:
Toddler + (2-5year olds) are our prime participants during the summer, or so it seems. They come to us bouncing with anticipation and anxiety. Oh so excited and sometimes, very nervous. This is why the first lesson is private. We instructors need the time to introduce ourselves, show them to the facility, explain what we do and convince them for the short period of time away from their parent, they are safe and about to have fun. We then introduce our teaching techniques, based on the child's comfort level. The use of equipment and toys provides a comfort to a child and links the relationship.
Environment:
The pool water is maintained at 90-92°f
Goggles recommended for comfort and quicker success rate. Re-usable swim diaper required if not fully potty trained.
----In the event of a stool accident or vomit, we follow the guidelines and procedures recommended by the CDC.
Options:
-A Private lesson: with one instructor and various activities.
-A Semi-Private lesson: share a lesson with a friend.
-Class environment: Maximum of six/class, opportunity to make friends, share experiences and learn from each other (sometimes even compete.)
Classes:
-Structured classes with lots of challenges.
-Separation anxiety is common and our teachers know how to handle these situations.
-Children need the self-discipline to remain seated and follow directions before entering group classes.
