Competitive swimmer in High School (state swimmer) and college.
Have participated in Synchronized swimming, scuba diving and played underwater rugby while living in Germany.
Began teaching in Dallas, Texas in 1971. Taught for DISD (Dallas Independent School District) for ten years, Texas A&M for four years, Richland and Eastfield Colleges for two years.
Trained for Water Exercise while teaching at Cooper's Clinic in Dallas, Texas.
As a military spouse was hired to establish and develop many programs for the Military varying from drown proofing for soldiers to aquatic exercise classes and age group instruction for dependents, active duty military and retirees. Ran the Youth and family members classes at Ft. Bliss, Texas from 1985-1989 and again from 1996-1999.
Have trained lifeguards, instructors and other aquatic personal for job placement. Established unique and popular swim programs in Wildflecken, Germany, Bad Hersfeld Germany, High Wycombe, UK, Ft. Bliss Texas, Colorado Springs, Colorado, Leavenworth, Kansas and presently, Jonesboro, Georgia
Individuals who have had a bad aquatic experience can overcome their fears with proper care and instruction. You and your loved ones can learn to swim, learn to teach, overcome the past by adding a wonderful new dimension to life.
We have a local clientele from 8 Georgia counties and are growing each year.
Swimmerman, LLC. was established in 1999.
We reach our swimmers primarily by referrals, youth supporting advertising, US Swim School Association ( previously Known as: National Swim School Association,) World Aquatic Babies Congress, Clubswim.com and mobile ads.
Our pool is maintained between 90-92°f. It is indoors thanks to our European Telescopic Enclosure.
In 2003, the US Swim SchoolAssociation awarded us the 'Murray Callan Award for Innovative Teaching Techniques. Additionally, two of our other instructors were awarded teacher of the year recognitions |
